Delta Fine Grind Ltd.

Delta Fine Grind Ltd. (DFG) was incorporated to further process the coarse crumb rubber produced by WRP.  The company began processing rubber in the spring of 2001.  DFG initially focused on the asphalt rubber market of the southwestern USA.

Soon thereafter, DFG began expanding its customer base across a number of industries, an initiative that continues to this day.

DFG operates from a 19,300 square foot plant on the 2 acre property it shares with the Western Rubber plant.  The plant is equipped with machines called cracker mills.  Each mill has two large parallel corrugated steel rolls that lie in close proximity to each other.  The coarse crumb rubber from WRP is fed into the gap between the rolls where it is shredded or “cracked” into smaller particles.  This finer product then goes through a series of processes that remove minute particles of rock, metal, fiber and other foreign materials before it is bagged and ready for sale.  DFG produces between 35 and 40 million pounds of fine crumb rubber per year.
